A two-part insulating glass silicone sealant/adhesive with excellent flow characteristics, optimized for automated lines. IGS3743 balances minimal cure time with extended mixer life often making it an exceptional choice as the secondary seal in fabrication of many dual seal insulating glass, heavy architectural captured glazing, and structural glazing applications.

PERFORMANCE:

  • Silicone durability – once cured, silicone exhibits excellent long-term resistance to natural weathering, including: extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation, rain and snow, with negligible change in elasticity.
  • Adhesion – IGS3743 adheres to glass, mill finish aluminum, anodized aluminum, galvanized steel spacers, and warm-edge style spacer designs.

APPLICATION:

  • Pumping pressure – IGS3743 can flow easily through pumps, allowing for longer pump life, reduced maintenance on equipment, and reduced corner defects from proper filling. Easier tooling can help reduce downtime and promote increased production rates, ultimately helping improve throughput and operational efficiency.
  • Adjustable work life – mix ratio of base and catalyst can be adjusted to suit the project or climate, as the cure speed can be increased or decreased, allowing flexibility in application.
