PERFORMANCE:

  • Silicone durability – once cured, silicone exhibits excellent long-term resistance to natural weathering, including: extreme temperatures; ultraviolet radiation; and rain and snow, with negligible change in elasticity.
  • Adhesion – SEC2400 features primerless adhesion to most nonporous construction materials, eliminating the risks associated with improper primer application on those materials and reducing costs associated with primer and subsequent labor. SEC2400 can be used with many substrates and finishes, including: glass, concrete, stucco, masonry, urethane foam, wood, copper, EIFS, and aluminum.
  • Fast Skin-Over – Achieves skin-over in 30 minutes and reaches tack free time in two to four hours.
  • Breathable – Cured SEC2400 SilShield* silicone elastomeric coating is vapor permeable.

APPLICATION:

  • Ease of Application – Easy to apply with brush, roller, or airless spray. High viscosity ensures that SEC2400 stays where applied without running.
  • Solvent Based – Eliminates problems such as bloom, chalking, and washout. No limitations due to impending rain or application humidity conditions.

AESTHETICS:

  • Excellent Color Retention – Does not chalk or fade due to natural weathering and UV exposure – even dark colors.
  • Easily Cleaned – Surface is easily cleaned by pressure washing or with a soap and water mixture.
